NPA combines photographic tours with photographic workshops for a fresh ADVENTURE!

Glacier National Park Photographic workshop / tours full of Adventure

Wilderness Defined

Swiftcurrent Lake in Glacier National Park.

Glacier National Park is considered by many to be the wildest place in America. The rugged beauty will captivate your heart forever. A true jewel in the crown of America. For those in photography, the majestic photos landed here will mark your work as a pinnacle and set it apart from others. Along with incredible majestic mountains, GNP offers up great opportunities to photograph wildlife. The lakes and streams are lined a with a rainbow of rocks. This scalloped topography was the handiwork of massive glaciers, which carved through the landscape to give us "America's Switzerland."

Our goal with this adventure is to not only teach others how to make great landscape, wildlife and nature photos but how to tell a magazine story with photography! Each day students will work to tell the story of Glacier National Park through a series of photos. Former Texas Highways Magazine Photography Editor and International Magazine Photographer, Kevin Vandivier, will help each student successfully shoot and edit their work in preparation for publication in our non profit magazine, National Photographic Magazine. In the end a professionally designed and printed magazine will be published using the best of everyones work. Each photographer will receive multiple copies of the National Photographic Magazine with your work published in it. Our Adventure is like a combo of a photographic workshop and a photographic tour Plus! Your professional photographic Instructor will work closely with each photographer. We purposely keep the max student level at 7 so that each student will receive the one on one attention truly needed. Plan on photographing breath taking sunrises and sunsets. If conditions are right, some night photography. Finally, be prepared to possibly photograph bears, mountain goats, moose, elk, big horn sheep, etc. This adventure is not just about helping you capture great photos, but to give you the experience of what professional photojournalist go through while on assignment, including the reward of seeing the best of your work in print.

TESTIMONIALS

"I try to attend professional workshops and photo adventures 1-2 times a year, given by proven professionals on location in areas ideal for the focus of that particular trek.  I find myself coming back to Kevin over and over.  Kevin's background as both a professional photographer and magazine photo editor gives him both the knowledge of how to make the shot as well as what editors look for in selecting photos for their publication." - George Gilchrist

"When I look for a great photo trip, I always end up joining one of the adventures at National Photographic Adventures. Kevin does an amazing job and I love seeing my shots in their magazine!"-Kaitlin Lowe
