Iceland offers up some of the most dramatic landscapes on the planet. Formed through a combo of volcanic activities and eruptions, along with the carving hand of glaciers. Join us as we explore and photograph the South side of the island, capturing the beauty of villages, canyons, ice bergs, wildflowers, mountains, waterfalls, etc.
Plan on photographing Mt.Kirkjufell, Kolugljúfur waterfall, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the magnificent glacier tongue Svínafellsjökull, Grábrók Volcanic Crater, colorful villages and much more.
Each day your Photographic Mentor will show you the best landscape locations to shoot. Everyone also will be given assignments each day to shoot, guided by your award winning pro mentor. The best of everyones work will be published in National Photographic Magazine and all will be given several copies to share with other.
This adventure is not just about helping you capture great photos of Iceland, but to give you the experience of what professional photojournalist go through while on assignment, including the reward of seeing the best of your work in print.
Your Pro Mentor for this Adventure will be Kevin Vandivier. Kevin has shot multiple assignments for National Geographic Society, Life Magazine, Texas Monthly, Etc. Kevin also is the former Photography Editor for Texas Highways Magazine.
We will conduct this Adventure August 25-31, 2018. This Adventure is $1995 which includes instructor fees and magazine production/printing.
We will be basing our adventure at several locations, based on our locations. Details available upon request.
The Activity Level will be light/moderate. The Experience level for this Adventure will be Intermediate-Advanced
