Photographing the sunrise at Monument Valley will bring tears to your eyes with our monument valley photographic tours. It's like watching the earth being born. This area is a photographers dream and perfect for monument valley photographic workshops. The color of light seems to increase in intensity here. The stars at night will leave you speechless. The unique structures of the landscapes will make it feel as though time has stopped just for you. You will sense the independent spirit of this area through the wild mustangs and the native Navajo peoples on the Navajo Nation Lands. Your photos will become Icons of the American West!
Plan on capturing amazing photos of the colorful rock formations throughout Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods and the surrounding area. We will photograph the wild horses in the area and the wild San Juan river that has formed the famous Goose Necks. We will photograph the famous Highway 163 vista, now called Forrest Gump Point. Of course this area begs for night photography. Our timing is planned for the monsoon season so we can also capture our landscapes with magnificent thunderheads.
Everyone will be given key assignments to not just shoot stand alone images, but photos that tell us stories of the area. In the end we will take the best of everyones work and produce a photo essay to be published in our non-profit magazine, The National Photographic Magazine of which everyone will receive multiple copies for their coffee tables at home.
This adventure is not just about helping you capture great photos, but to give you the experience of what professional photojournalist go through while on assignment, including the reward of seeing the best of your work in print.
