For more than 45 years, Kevin Vandivier has explored the world through a camera, creating images that tell stories, inspire curiosity, and connect people with nature, wildlife, travel, and the human experience.
Kevin’s photography has been published by the National Geographic Society, Life Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, Newsweek Magazine, and numerous regional and national publications. He also served as an award-winning Photography Editor for Texas Highways Magazine, helping document the landscapes, culture, wildlife, and people that make Texas unique.
Throughout his career, Kevin has photographed wildlife, landscapes, travel destinations, outdoor adventures, and human-interest stories across North America and beyond. His work reflects a lifelong passion for visual storytelling and a belief that photography is one of the most powerful ways to experience the world around us.
Today, Kevin focuses on fine art photography, nature photography, wildlife photography, and photographic adventures throughout the Texas Hill Country. Through ScenicPic Photographic Adventures, he invites photographers, nature lovers, travelers, and outdoor enthusiasts to explore beautiful locations while developing a deeper appreciation for photography and the natural world.
Unlike traditional photography workshops, ScenicPic adventures emphasize experience, exploration, and discovery. Participants have opportunities to photograph wildlife, scenic landscapes, native birds, Texas Hill Country waterways, and unique outdoor environments while learning from decades of real-world photographic experience.
Many adventures are centered around the Horseshoe Bay and Marble Falls region, including the scenic beauty of Slick Rock Creek and other hidden gems of the Texas Hill Country. Whether you’re an experienced photographer or simply someone who enjoys nature, these adventures are designed to help you slow down, see more intentionally, and create meaningful images.
Kevin believes that great photography is about more than camera settings and equipment. It is about observation, patience, storytelling, and developing a deeper connection to the places we visit and the people we meet.
His mission is simple: help others experience photography at its fullest while creating memories, friendships, and images that will last a lifetime.
“I look forward to sharing an adventure with you.”— Kevin Vandivier
